Musica Electroacústica Mexicana is an archival release originally issued in 1984 by the Centro Independiente de Investigaciones Musicales y Multimedia (CIIMM). Documenting early electroacoustic practices in Mexico, the recording reflects a period of independent research focused on sound experimentation, studio-based processes and emerging electronic techniques.

This edition marks the first-ever reissue on LP, released by Aurora Central in 2025. The album presents four electroacoustic compositions by Antonio Russek, Raúl Pavón, Roberto Morales, and Vicente Rojo, each approaching sound through different material and structural concerns. The works explore the manipulation of recorded sound, electronic signal processing and compositional form, emphasizing texture, spatial presence and the physical qualities of audio material.

Positioned between documentation and composition, the release offers a focused snapshot of Mexican electroacoustic experimentation in the early 1980s, preserving its historical context while remaining attentive to the act of listening itself.
