Mama Luma is a free-jazz improvisation trio, formed by Christos Yermenoglou, Haris Agoritsas and Pavlos Pavlidis (Fun With Nuns). Their music is entirely created at the moment, based mostly in the spontaneous interaction between musicians. They use tenor/alto sax, electric quitar, percussion and toys. What they present us here is 8 tracks that derived from their long live sessions at royal Alzheimer hall studio, took place in Thessaloniki, in 2013. Their music explores a wide spectrum of soundscapes that at times is driven by an instinctive impulse of brutality and sonic chaos and sometimes it is more like a spontaneous co-created structure of improvised music.
