Description
2nd edition cassette release of Verstörung by Kluik. The edition features improved artwork, is dubbed on recycled tapes and offers covers printed on grey cardboard.
Verstörung — German for “disturbance” — expands the sonic terrain of Kluik, an experimental project from Helsinki, Finland, known for weaving noise, ambient textures, psychedelia and tape collage into atmospheric soundscapes.
Compiled from recordings spanning 2018–2024 and assembled in August 2024, this second edition gathers multiple segments of sonic material — fragments of field recordings, processed tape manipulation, and layered textures — into a cohesive yet unsettled flow of sound.
Rather than foreground rhythm or melodic clarity, Verstörung emphasizes texture, spatial depth and timbral interplay. Some passages drift into quiet ambience, while others embrace crackle, hiss and abstract noise — a balance that situates the work between ambient minimalism and collage-based sound art.
