Description

Manon Anne Gillis has been creating music using primitive systems since the 1980s. In her ninth solo album, she weaves together voice, breathing, words and sounds using ingenuous methodologies. Gillis emphasizes that her sound is not conceptual, and that feeling and immersion matter far more than understanding.

Eyry consists of ten pieces that approach sound as a tactile, sensory experience, transforming spoken word and singing into blurred noise and irregular repetitions, often embedded into rhythm tracks to create intimate, immersive sonic worlds. The album was mastered by Maiko Okimoto and released in a limited edition CD of 200 copies by Art Into Life.
