Altar Of Flies is the project of Mattias Gustafsson, active within experimental and noise-based sound practice. Intellectual Strangulation was originally self-released by Gustafsson in 2025 as a single-sided cassette.

The 2026 reissue revisits this material in an expanded physical presentation, maintaining its focus on layered electronics, processed signals and sustained structural tension. The recordings unfold through repetition and gradual transformation, emphasizing duration and internal development.

This edition is presented in a custom box format, highlighting the object-based dimension of the release.
