ERSEN : "ERSEN" Ε rsen Dinleten - A brave man with a song in his heart! This is how his turkish name translates to Greek. This is a taboo-less name. The British “Finders Keepers” records that relised his various songs included his most schisophrenic tracks of a man’s life time career. It’s not the piece of Anadolu Pop or arabesque funk. His very uniqe by his personality and voice. That made Fehiman Ugurdemin to put Ersen voice on his album along with many instruments tahat Ugurdemin plays i.e. mandoline, electric sazi and guitars, funky basses and drums, and synths. His music is a connection between medditerranean, middle east region sounds and modern european culture. It’s funk and hard rock music with progressive and 70s pshychedelia. Ersen in not really known to the turkish rock sceene of the 70s like Cem Caraca, Baris Manco, Mogollar, Erkim Koray and Selda Barcam and he hadn’t been as politically involved in revolution as them. But he was giving inspiration and freekout music. |

FIESTA ANIMAL: "LA FORMULA SECRETA DE LA COCA-COLA" As you put on the CDR it feels like the play in the theatre starts. This is the first realese of MoreMars team in their new series “Anarthria”. Fiesta Animal is a collective of musicians and artists from the exotic Uruguay. It’s an outcome of new beat that grows fast in Latin American countries, where art and music comes together with political and social problems they face there. This is a new anti-culture! The CD like it’s said in the title is the secret music formula of coca-cola, in other worlds it’s the groups sarcasm on the issue of globalisation. The first track gives us sence of the way the coca-cola is produced. Sound that is played over and over again. It’s rather a construction than music. The following two songs are more avantgard music from 80’s that includes smashing women vocals metalophonia and electronic loops. The paranoid vocals invite us to the fiesta that’s taking place. From this moment until the end of the CDR the psychodelia of “Funeral Cubano”, “ Malcriada Destructiva ” and “ Peleas De Tenedores ” bring us to the utopia of no limits. Easily saying, Fiesta Animal proves again that simple production and way of recording could be an outcome of great music, once the idea is extraordinary! |
