Fun With Nuns are beyond genres and simple categorizations. They are performers and improvisors and this is what they want to be remembered for. They have notably performed along Damo Suzuki while they maintain their artistic incogruity by reassembling into differrent formations.For our NOUS 3inch series their contribution is a mix of free jazz and freak-out psychedelia with the necessary accompanying humour.

Bored Witch is the culmination of an unexisting trend or an imaginary hype. A band soaked in studio jams, obscure recording sessions and adventurous live appearances. The more mars team distributes their first ep that includes 5 tracks that mix the different musical backgrounds of the bands members mathemagician (killer drums+funny envelopes), shiverdrain (wretch guitar+creepy voice), insideburning (mourning bass + revolutionary behaviour) andfervent (wild guitar+silly voice). Bored witch started as an effort to re-invent punk-rock.
The attitude in these tracks is punkish (in its very political sense) but they also add bits of kraut rock loads of no-wave, noise and improvisation. (artworks)(read reviews) Muso Fantasma is a Spanish duo. You might remember them from their collages in our 1st issue of Random Magazine. Pedro Amodio is from Argentina. He was a member of several bands. The most famous was Dios mixing punk and dark wave sounds with great spoken lyrics. Adriana Petit is also a collage artist with a unique temperament. Now they are working together creating music and collages. This is their first release and our 2nd in the "anarthria" series. Their music is like a trip to unknown and gostly places. a collage of sounds with dramatic melodies. They use sumplers, effects, keyboards, electric guitar and industrial percussions. The artworks are made by Muso Fantasma making this release a real art object!

More Mars is very proud to announce a new series entitled "anarthria". The complete inability to produce articulate speech. From the Greek word "anarthros", an-without + arthron-articulation + ia- indicating a condition or quality. Meaningles words that joint together scrabbled in meanglessness. An emotional brainstorming that creates a new lingual idiom that leads to communicational inabillity. The language of the "non-civilized", "buffon" and "outcasts".
First release would be Fiesta Animal's Secrete formula of Coca-cola. A collective of artists [musicians, painters, interfering individuals...] from Uruguay, that join together their artistic suggestions and give us their own musical Idiom. Music that is deep influenced from 80s and 70s industrial and psychedelic music but also mixed with Latin American culture. The unorthodox way of the recording and the production, using tape recorders, give us a sence of an undiscovered legendary old tape. Lo-fi aesthetic meets freak out psychedelia and tropical rhythms. A big variety of instruments like metalophono, percussions, gitars, sumplers ... and the characteristic vocals of Ana Arioni and Adriana Navarro give us as a resolt, a musical construction that sounds more like a fiesta that leads you to spiritual trance. This cd-r comes out with a three page booklet full of graphic designs by Julia Saldain using scaner, paints, fax, pics, collages and much much more!

Diatribes, a strongly libertarian ensemeble, began its existence in a Geneva basement in Winter 2004. Their idea was to mix three distinct types of sound (electronic, wind and percussion), in order to develop a malleable musical mass. There are no limits to their sound, where rhythms, melodies and noise meet sporadically, merging into each other until they are almost forgotten. Free jazz in its approach, acoustic and electronic in its execution, the trio is capable of exploring the minute like the intense. Their relationship with the public is intimate and profound. Dreams and fears become noise and silence...
Dragos Tara has realized different projects: Performance for musiciens, dancers et electronics in the former jails of Vevey (2005) ; Jeu : duel musical pour double-quartet (2004), solo concerts and a doublebass quartet.
He has also written music for various ensembles: Ensemble Vortex, compagnie CH.AU, íllorkestra, Bolouris 5tet, Ostermundigen symphonic Orchestra .
Piero SK is a personage born approximately 10 years ago, on a table of writing. He is an autodidact and work in theatre, writing and music. He collaborated in particular with Monsieur Jean, Noël Akchoté, Saadet Türköz, Jacques Demierre, Jacques Roman, Wilbert de Joode, Obaké, AbSTRAL compost, la Gale, Vernacular, Jeudi, Rue du Nord. Its biography is variable, its room is populated by shadows.
Inverz is a founding member of good luck mr gorsky (check out their split cd with eventless plot on granny records) and the eg.g collective. he has also collaborated and performed with freon, one mile tar, opora and a pleiad of underground musicians active in greece. "variations on hold" is inverz's first solo album and we were expecting it with real enthusiasm as what we already had listen to was very promising. but not as promising as it turn out to be.
This is one of the most esoteric and atmospheric things that we have listen to for quite some time. structures emerge and dissolve as fast as mellodies appear and disappear. loops of meelodica follow guitar glitches and notes from an electric piano and all these merge in an organic body of sound soaked in feedback that u feel that will vanish in the background till the momment that something happens. always something happens and it is always hard to describe it in means of words. this is what sounds and music is for. this is what inverz is up to.(sounds),

when we listen to TLS's works on LEEP ["p color" (w lezet), "mass creation machine" (feat k-the-i???), "acidoulus pink and grils from uranus", "phonographie" (w mark rira)] we were fascinated with the incredible approach to rythm and how easily avant-garde approaches were mixed with pop and rock, hip-hop and everything else that someone might think that is almost impossible to mix. "my favourite color" summerizes all these in 10 tracks that run almost for 30 minutes ranging from abstraction to rock and from new wave to musique concrete. a taboo-less classic.(sounds)
A large scale project came to its end. "deconstuctive music" is heavy and serious conceptual project questioning the standards and shaking the prompts of contemporary music
28 artists were invited to contribute their artistic suggestions of what seems to be the music of the 21st century, music deconstucted to its initial elements or constructed from various fragments of sound, art and physical activity. Far beyond our expectations, the whole project ended up as a deep theoretical study on experimental music, covering every possible aspect! Incredible music works ranging from field recordings, tape collage, contemporary improvisations, reductionism, new industrial, laptop experimentation, glitch electronica, bizzare lo-fi, guitar noise to ambient and white noise...
Every work is supported by graphic designs, theoretical texts, artistic creations or photos, all packed in a deluxe seven inch case, making it a real art-object release. 3 cd-rs containing almost 3 hours of pure Futuristic music!

"instead of being worried with what is something, u should ask yourself what can u do with it". this aphorism is always a central theme to fervent's music and in a way it kind of summerizes "conjestion", fervent's first album. if u add to this that our world is much more complicated than in the past (in Koolhaas' words we live in a culture of "congestion") u have a fast answer to the eclectisism of this work that goes beyond "musical styles". a wide variety of instruments and a variety of approaches to them is used. if u add to this a bunch of different styles (from electronica to mush up and from modern composition to chaotic guitars) what u have as a result is a strange and totally idiosyncratic amalgam. conceptually driven works with a drop of "mainstream". in a parallel universe this could be a top ten record but for now this is respectfully the second release by the more mars team.

A unique combination of noise and physical torture. Layers of guitars, distorted voices, that, just this once, actually mean IT. Intense and totally out there, a choice not for the faint hearted.
Inspired more by the writings of William Burroughs, shamanic rituals, ecstasy through commitment in the mighty SOUND, than any band, singer, musician or whatever, out there. Nobody human anyway (so Helios Creed can be mentioned).
It was recorded live in the studio. No overdubs, or any kind of mix followed. No digital effect boxes, no microphone enhancers, nothing. Just a couple of prepared guitars, with their amps turned on to ear splitting volume.
It’s actually a performance. A performance few had the chance to watch, but keep busting my balls about it to this day. A one time inspiration that led to a maelstrom.
That was the Death TV. A band, now, no more. After another concert which evolved to an iconoclastic ritual, they split, rather messy. Boo – hoo.
Anyway, what we got here, is, plainly put, awesome and thought provoking stuff. So crank it up a notch, fucker.
